Wandering Aimlessly
Hammond Lake 2015
by Phil Burkhouse
Our Tioga County adventure to Hammond Lake for crappies has definitely matured into a traditional annual event. Mary and I joined a crew of former fellow teachers and former students, some of whom have now reached retirement age, and their families for a week of camping at the Ives Run Campground near the town of Tioga, some turkey hunting, and a lot of fishing.
Originally Mary and I hooked up our small trailer and went for three or four days, but now our adventure lasts a week and we are joined part of the time by our daughters, sons-in-law, and four grandchildren.
