Work Place Violence Training Class Slated

Two Cameron County emergency organizations are teaming up to provide training in work place violence and mass shootings in February.

The Cameron County Emergency Management Agency and Local Emergency Planning Committee will sponsor the two-hour seminar Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Emporium Fire Hall.

The training is designed to stimulate critical thinking skills necessary to save lives.

Topics will include: attention to detail; hazards & people, weaponized hazardous materials in the workplace; behavioral warning signs; cover & concealment; safe escape, and tips on how to fight back if necessary.
