The Cameron County High School Lady Red Raider varsity basketball team had a pair of North Tier League games last week to close the regular season and split the contests. On Tuesday they defeated the Lady Hubbers in Smethport but on Thursday lost the season finale to Class AA and league co-leader Coudersport.

At Smethport the Lady Raiders shook off a slow start to top the Lady Hubbers 47-40.

“Our games at Smethport always seem to be physical and hard fought, and this game was no different,” said CCHS Coach Dave Sullivan.

“Individually, Kaelee Bresslin played an outstanding game, her best to date in her young career. Along with hitting five three-pointers, including back-to-back threes late in the second quarter that gave us the lead, Kaelee had three assists, two to a cutting Alyvia McKimm in the fourth quarter that sealed the victory.”
