BEEKEEPERS HAVE GUEST SPEAKER – The North Central PA Beekeepers Association met on Saturday at the hives of Joel Caldwell. Special guest speaker, Craig Cella from Loganton demonstrated how to see if mites had infected the hives. He also spoke on some of the diseases that can affect honey bees. He was very knowledgeable, having over 50 years of experience in beekeeping and winning four grants to study honey bees. The North Central Association is open to all beekeepers, new and experienced, in Elk, Cameron, McKean, Potter and Tioga counties. For more information about the group, contact Joel Caldwell.
