5th Grade students help release trout donated by the Wykoff Run Fish Nursery into the fish farm at Woodland Elementary. The fish farm is located in the greenhouse at Woodland, and is run by Mrs. Teresa Ream’s, 5th Grade Science classes. Jeff Ream, Teresa’s husband, is pictured releasing the fish and explained to the students how the wetland outside of the greenhouse helps to keep the water that is recirculated between fish farm and the wetland clean and cool for the trout. Jeff, employed as a Civil Engineer with Gannett Fleming, Inc. in Clearfield, volunteered his expertise to design the wetland at Woodland, and has designed numerous wetland treatment systems for acid mine drainage abatement in the Sterling Run and Bennett Branch watersheds.
