Your two articles about the proposed ATV track system thru town and surrounding beautiful country caused me to look up a memoir I had written 10 years ago. I am old, but not resistant to new ideas or changes when these are beneficial to people or environment.
First, will Emporium really benefit financially from these trails? Who will maintain them, pick up bottles and cans and lunch remains, not to mention trail repairs and maintenance. Some people are thoughtless about these things. And how about the animals, large and small, that are a treasure there, can they stay? Will the ATVs drive thru the beautiful trout creeks I mentioned?
