AARP Safe Driving Course Coming To

Emporium In April

Emporium Senior Center plans to host an AARP Safe Driving Course this Spring-scheduled for Thursday, April 19th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This program is a PennDOT approved program and the cost for the program are $15/AARP Members and $20/Non-Members.

This class enables you to receive a minimum of 5% Discount on your auto insurance premium for three years. Please check with your insurance company to find out if they have any stipulations in order for you to receive the discount-example: if you are a married couple, your insurance company may require both husband and wife to take the course.
You can do these types of courses online depending on where you are and the laws of your state. If you are in New York you can look up the New York My Improv website, and check out their courses on defensive driving to help you become a better driver and lower your auto insurance. It is worth it especially if you use your car all the time like being a taxi driver.
For some drivers finding auto/car insurance can be very difficult to get, especially if previously they have had a conviction that has affected their insurance premiums or has stopped them completely in even getting a car or insurance for it. However, there is a way in which this can be rectified – convicted car insurance by companies such as is available to those who are in need and have exhausted all other avenues of getting it on their own. Using this type of service can help many convicted people be allowed to get their insurance, this will not only help in daily life but with work and family too. People who have been to prison still need to be able to have that chance to live a normal life and run it so they can provide. If you know someone who has had a conviction and has been unable to get what they need after they have been released, they may want to go online and see what is available to them in this area.
