Alle-Catts Top Smethport In Season Opener

The Emporium Alle-Catt baseball team began its 2014 campaign on Sunday at Olivett Field with a 10-1 win over Smethport. Manager Ralph McKimm used three pitchers in the early season and all three were effective in the victory.
Rick Uber started on the mound for the Cats and blanked the visitors for three innings, striking out three and allowing one hit. Ryan Bresslin tossed the middle three frames, striking out four and walking three without allowing a hit or a run.
