Bailey Contemplating Giving Up Race Duties

Final planning for the 2018 Cameron County Canoe and Kayak Classic is being overshadowed by an announcement by Randy Bailey that he is contemplating stepping aside as the event’s coordinator.
This year’s classic is scheduled for Saturday, April 7. Bailey will coordinate the event as he has done for the past 17 years. After that, the future of the Classic remains up in the air.
“After a considerable amount of thought, I have made the decision that 2018 will be my last year as event coordinator,” said Bailey.
