We finally had some summer-like conditions this week at the Emporium Country Club and there was plenty of activity over the Memorial Day weekend.
On Wednesday the Men’s Day was played on the front nine. The gross score place winners were first Rob Crane (41), second Rick McLean (42), third Randy Cooney (42) and fourth Tim Curry (43).
The net score place winners were first Doug Homan (32), who shot a 42 gross with 10 strokes on the front. I think we need a handicap investigation. Second place went to Joe Beichner (33), third was Keith Kelley (35) and fourth was Judd Schager (35).
On Thursday the Retirees’ League took to the golf course. The gross place winners were Pat Rodgers (45) and second Ron Girton (47). The net place winners were first Don Carly (33) and second Ron Caskey (34).
