CCHS Basketball Teams Enter Playoffs

The Cameron County High School Red Raider basketball team has entered the District 9 Class A Championship Tournament and will begin play on Thursday night.
The Raiders (16-5) are the third seed in the tournament and will play the sixth seeded Austin Panthers (13-9) at 7 p.m. at Port Allegany High School. If the Raiders advance they will play the winner of second seeded Elk County Catholic (18-4) and seventh seeded Oswayo Valley (11-11), which will be played at Bradford at 7:30 p.m., also on Thursday.
The other first round games on Thursday will pit top seeded North Clarion (19-3) against eighth seeded AC Valley at Clarion High School and fourth seeded Johnsonburg (16-6) against Otto-Eldred (15-7) at Bradford High School at 6 p.m. The dates and venues for the second round games will be determined when the first round is completed.
