Charges Bound Over To Court In Local Murder Case

An Emporium man accused of murder appeared at the Cameron County Courthouse for a hearing on Thursday.

A preliminary hearing was held for Michael Fuller Courtney, age 34, of Emporium, who faces charges including murder in the first degree for an incident that occurred in late October in the borough.

During the hearing, Cameron County District Attorney Jeanne Miglicio and Defense Attorney Fred D. Hummel, Jr., Esquire, presented testimony to determine whether there was enough evidence for Courtney to stand trial on charges of first degree murder, second degree murder, third degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault guidessay
