Class of 1968 Honors Jim Miller

The Class of 1968 recently met to begin planning their 50th Class Reunion, and decided that they wanted to do something to give back to the community and honor a man whom they looked up to throughout their lives.

The reunion’s planning committee chose to purchase a bench and plaque in honor of James Miller, who served as a Cameron County High School (CCHS) teacher, administrator, and a number of other positions throughout his long tenure with the district.

“The reason members of the Class of 1968 are here today, along with family, is to thank Jim Miller for his many years of service to our Alma Mater and to our entire community. At the very first meeting of our reunion committee, before they picked a date or menu or made any plans at all, they discussed how blessed we were to have attended Cameron County schools, and how many very wonderful people touched our lives while we were there…
