County Approves CDBG Block Grants

During their scheduled meeting Thursday (Feb. 1) Cameron County Commissioners announced the county’s 2017 Community Development Block Grant has been approved.
Cameron County is scheduled to receive $203,969 from the grant program.
The county uses CDBG funding in a variety of programs, most notably in updating low income housing.
The county has received notice of general permit-11 registration from ASC Group Inc.
The permit covers replacement of a structure along the West Hicks Run Road over the East Branch Hicks Run in Elk State Forest.
