County Unemployment Rate Down Significantly
Cameron County’s unemployment rate is down significantly for January 2017 compared to the previous month’s data, according to information made available from the Department of Labor and Industry at the end of last month.
The rate for January 2017, the most recent data available, was calculated at 6.9%. For December, the rate was 8.4%, as was the case for most months prior to that except November, which came in at 7%.
