Courtney Arrested For Emporium Murder

An Emporium man was jailed without rights to bail following his arrest for a Wednesday-evening homicide.

Michael Fuller Courtney, age 34, has been charged with murder in the first degree and related counts following an incident alleged to have occurred on Wednesday night in the Emporium Borough. Courtney was arraigned at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday morning by Magisterial District Judge Barry Brown at the Cameron County Courthouse. He was denied bail during the hearing due to the severity of the charges.
