This has been a busy news cycle to start the year 2015. Last week twelve people who were satirical editors and artists as well as two police officers were killed in a broad daylight, military style attack in a busy upscale part of Paris, France. The gunmen took their time attacking the office building with illegal automatic weapons and easily escaped, stopping only to execute a police officer by getting back out of their escape vehicle to do so and then they loaded back up and left.

The perpetrators were terrorists upset by a satirical paper the office had produced earlier. It was a sad attack on freedom of speech and the press by a radical mindset that doesn’t value Western ideals.
