DCC Eliminates Lady Raiders

Last Tuesday night the Cameron County High School Lady Red Raider varsity basketball team hosted the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals in a District 9 Class A first round playoff game but were ousted by the visitors, 48-42, in the single elimination tournament.
CCHS took an early lead but a poor second quarter doomed the Lady Raiders and put an end to their district championship aspirations.
Cameron County took a 12-9 lead at the end of the first quarter, largely on the strength of three-point field goals by Alyvia McKimm and Kamme Guisto as both teams struggled with playoff jitters. But the Lady Raiders were stymied by an aggressive DCC defense in the second period and managed just three points on a trey by McKimm.
