DCC Shuts Out Raiders 4-0

The Cameron County High School Red Raider varsity baseball team entered the District 9 Class A Championship Tournament but was ousted in the first round by the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals in the first round by a score of 4-0.
The host Cardinal squad managed just three hits off of Raider senior Adam Shaffer and one off of Ty Bauer but took advantage of several CCHS miscues to score two in the first inning and single runs in the fourth and sixth.
Cameron County, meanwhile, missed opportunities in the fourth and fifth frames to thwart their upset bid. They loaded the bases in both innings but were unable to push a run across the plate. The Red Raiders finished with four hits, all singles, by Shaffer, Marcus Brown, Shea Moore and Alex Umble.
