A sentencing hearing was held for Timothy Paul Reese, age 57, of Emporium, on a charge of driving under the influence (DUI), second offense.

Reese was ordered to spend a minimum of five days in jail, which he will spend as a split-sentence over two consecutive weekends. If Reese reports as ordered and complies with all directives while held in jail, he will be immediately paroled once he has served his minimum sentence. If not, his maximum sentence of six months in jail could be imposed.

Reese must pay all costs and fees, restitution to the county and a $300 fine. He must also perform community service. Charges stem from a traffic stop on Route 120 in Shippen Township on Setpember 16 by Pennsylvania State Police.
