Defendants Arrested In Undercover Sting Sentenced

Two defendants arrested through the use of a confidential informant and undercover state police officer were sentenced on Tuesday’s Return Day proceedings at the Cameron County Courthouse.

Michael Robert McNally, age 30, of Austin, was paroled on Tuesday after spending 58 days in county jail on one felony count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and related offenses stemming from an incident that occurred on June 24, 2014.

McNally, who is a U.S. Navy veteran and has a culinary arts degree, spent nearly two months in jail following his arrest. District Attorney Jeanne Miglicio explained that his bail was modified approximately two weeks after he was jailed, but he continued to be held on a child support warrant.
