An update on upgrades to Driftwood Borough’s water system was provided to Cameron County Commissioners during their Thursday (March 8) meeting.

Joe Williams, former Driftwood mayor, said crucial work on the system is moving along.

After leaving office, Williams stayed on to coordinate work on the public water system that serves 127 full time customers.

A new well has been drilled in Nanny Run and is expected to produce 10 gallons of water per minute to supplement the system’s reservoir.
