Eastlake To Speak at Historical Dinner
Don’t miss Cameron County Historical Society’s Fall Dinner and the presentation by John Eastlake, retired forester from Tiadaghton Forest District and Civilian Conservation Corp historian, who will present a look at the history of the CCC camps in Pennsylvania.
The event will be held at the Emporium VFW Thursday, October 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Civilian Conservation projects have interested John his entire forestry career. After he went to a CCC reunion and met some of the “boys,” he decided to learn as much as he could about the program.
