Emporium Bike Friendly

Bicycle racks have been installed in downtown Emporium.  Cameron County Chamber of Commerce, Emporium Borough and Cameron County School District joined forces in the project.

Two racks donated for the project needed to be retrofitted for installation. Cameron County High School students Michael Clingan, Ebon Jackson, Josh Lane and Ryan Chilcote, under the direction of Cameron County High School teacher,  Tom Gelnett, shortened the racks and welded installation brackets.  Members of the Emporium Borough Streets Department installed the racks near the intersection of East Fourth and Chestnut streets on the south side and near the intersection of Cherry and East Fourth streets on the north side of Fourth Street.
