Emporium Man Sentenced On Bath Salts Charges

An Emporium man was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to charges stemming from the use and sale of bath salts.

Craig James Hostler, age 28 of Emporium, was sentenced to serve four to 24 months in a county jail after entering a guilty plea to charges in two separate cases stemming from his sale of bath salts to a confidential informant and corrupting minors in 2015.

The felony charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance stems from a July 2015 incident in which Hostler sold 1.5 grams of Bath Salts (alpha-PVP) to a confidential informant working with the state attorney general’s Central Drug Task Force at a location on East Third Street in the Emporium Borough.
