First Fork Festival This Weekend

Sinnemahoning State Park will host the annual First Fork Festival this Saturday, October 14, featuring local authors, artists and artisans, along with lots of good food and fun, family-friendly activities.
This marks the fifth year the festival has been held in front of the backdrop of full autumnal splendor in the First Fork Valley, north of the town of Sinnemahoning on Route 872. The First Fork Festival begins at noon and runs until 5 p.m.
Entertainment will be provided by Van Wagner, a singer, songwriter, musician, Pennsylvania historian and native of the Danville area. Wagner will present the program “Soft Coal, Hard Times,” at 2 p.m., which celebrates the history of the Pennsylvania backyard coal industry.
