Fall sports season has officially begun. Even though students have yet to attend a class in the Cameron County School District there have already been a bunch of athletic events. The CCHS golf teams have already completed their first matches, the Storm football season is underway and the Red Raider varsity football team has had their first scrimmage.
Cameron County is a small community and it is no surprise that many families are related, but it struck me in reporting this week’s results that although many of our youngsters leave the area, some stay around and make their home here.
