From the Bleachers

From my point of view, the Red Raider football scrimmage with Brockway on Saturday was a very positive sign for the coming season. After getting beat deep on a number of pass plays early, CCHS put together a solid performance against the Rovers, who will no doubt be a contender for the Allegheny Mountain League title. I especially like the poise of junior signal caller Adam Streich and the size and athletic ability on the offensive and defensive lines.

Longtime readers of this column will know this already, but one of my favorite pastimes in the fall is fantasy football. But this season I gave up my team in the Cameron County League, as I had already purchased a ticket to see Chicago, one of my favorite bands, in Salamanca on draft night.
