From the Bleachers

There seems to be a lot of improvements going on at the Cameron County Little League field and to be honest, it is time the whole complex underwent rehabilitation. The fields were built to high level but many things have deteriorated over the years and it is great to see Steve Brown and his crew secure some funding and make improvements. Specifically, the girls’ softball field is being rebuilt from the ground up and I also see there is some much needed work being done on the senior league pitching mound, which also was begging for a complete overhaul.

My college football weekend returned to the good side this week as Pitt, Penn State and Slippery Rock all collected victories. Penn State dominated Maryland, who may have the ugliest uniforms in college football, and the Rock took care of Mercyhurst comfortably.
