First, congratulations go out to Gregg Fritz, former golfer at St. Marys Area and Slippery Rock University and most recently the golf pro at Pinecrest Country Club in Brookville. Fritz was just named women’s’ golf coach at Clarion University. Gregg retired from his position at Pinecrest after last season and had both knees replaced this summer. He also happens to be a fraternity brother of mine and is married to a classmate of mine at CCHS, Ann Coolick.
I came out of retirement last week and umpired two senior little league games and it felt good to be back on the field. I did a game between Austin and one of the three Cameron County teams on Tuesday, sorry I don’t recall the name, and the other two Cameron County teams on Wednesday.
