The Penguins have advanced in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the Pirates lost all four games of a series in Philadelphia so things are pretty much back to normal in Pittsburgh Sports. But I’ll admit I was a bit away from the sports world this past week.
Last Wednesday we made the trip to South Florida where my daughter was married in Ft. Lauderdale. The night before the festivities, however, we all congregated in her apartment to watch the Penguins dismantle the Philadelphia Flyers as she is a crazy hockey fan who obviously had her priorities straight. Thankfully, her husband, Bryan is of like mind.
She also introduced me to the world of Sling TV, which is basically television over the internet. Shelby uses it mostly as a cost effective way to supplement her very basic low cost cable with the sports channels she chooses, but there are a lot of other al la carte channels that are available that you can subscribe to.
