From the Bleachers

I was so far off in my Penn State – Pitt prediction that I couldn’t even sweep it under the rug unmentioned.
The Nittany Lions are so far ahead of Pittsburgh in talent, especially in the passing game, that it was embarrassing. If the Penn State receivers would have caught a few more of Trace McSorley’s great throws, the score could even have been worse than the 51-6 drubbing.
But even more disappointing was that Pitt looked woefully unprepared. The captains failed to defer to the second half after being instructed to do so after winning the coin toss; they were bad at handling the rain; the passing game was non-existent and when PSU made adjustments to stop the Panthers’ running game in the second half, Pitt came out after the intermission and laid an egg.
