I need to start off with an apology to my editor and both of my readers for the lack of this column last week.

I watch ESPN way more than is healthy for any human being and one of my favorite football analysts is former Philadelphia Eagle defensive back and Kansas City Chief Coach Herman Edwards. Edwards, to me, is most famous for his “miracle in the Meadowlands” play, when Giants’ quarterback Joe Pisarcik fumbled a handoff to Larry Csonka in 1978 on the last play of the game, which Edwards returned for a game winning touchdown.
