The Raiders concluded their season in good fashion by traveling to Eisenhower and beating the Knights. It is a long bus trip to Russell and a traditionally difficult place to play. But with no playoffs in their future the Red Raiders showed plenty of guts in defeating a quality opponent in the season finale, certainly something Coach Mike Kunes and the program needed as a building block.
For the seniors it was a good memory to end their careers and for the underclassmen it was a glimpse of what the future could be like.
