The only thing that has kept me sane through all this snow and cold is the great amount of sports viewing both on television and at the high school. I’ll start with the Winter Olympic Games which have become a staple of my television viewing the last week or so. I really enjoy the skeleton, luge and bobsled events as well as all the skiing and speed skating and I’ve even started liking curling. I don’t think I’ll ever like figure skating, but Olympic hockey is one of the greatest sports on TV. The USA victory over Russia in a shootout on Saturday morning was some of the best time I have ever spent in front of the television.
