From the Bleachers

It was nice to see Oswayo Valley win the District 9 Class AA baseball championship with a 10-0 six inning defeat of Clarion in the finals. The fact that the north tier section of the district claimed a title is good enough, but having a tiny school like OV win is even more satisfying.

I’m not surprised, however, because after watching the Green Wave soundly beat CCHS here early in the season it was easy to see how fundamentally solid they were in addition to having some exceptionally talented baseball players. Even with that small sampling it was obvious how good their coaches were and how the players bought in to all the nuances of the game.
