Hearings To Be Held On Sentencing Guideline Recommendations
A number of public hearings have been scheduled to address recommendations on increasing sentencing guidelines advocated for by local district attorneys.
Cameron County District Attorney Paul Malizia and Elk County District Attorney Shawn McMahon presented their case to the state’s Sentencing Commission in March in order to elicit support for increased sentences for individuals discovered to be in possession of large amounts of alpha-PVP, the substance known locally as Bath Salts.
