History With Glen Fiebig Goes Back To 1960s

In 1961 I joined the reporting staff of the Harrisburg Patriot-News as a sportswriter.
In those days the Patriot-News was building circulation through intense coverage of high school sports. A youngster’s name in a sports article prompted parents, grandparents and other relatives to buy a paper.
About the same time a young kid named Glen Fiebig was starting a career as scholastic athlete at Annville-Cleona High School in Lebanon County.
Over the next few years Glen’s name often popped up in basketball game coverage or track and field events.
By the time he graduated in 1964, Fiebig had made quite a name for himself in Central Pennsylvania scholastic sports circles.
