The Cameron County Echo on its back page features two exceptional outdoor writers. But as knowledgeable as they are and as well as they write, I just can’t seem to grasp their self educated and proven modes of hunting. It’s sorta like the same problems I had with chemistry and physics.
But with that said, I always thought that I might have an outdoor writer inside waiting to get out, but since reading Bill and Phil’s columns reality has finally made its unwanted appearance. So, I gotta fess up. And here it is. I really don’t know much about the “art of the hunt” and even less about the “way of the whitetail.” Oh, I could tell you all about ballistics, best calibers that afford clean kills, proper gear and top choices in gun selection, but that would be about it. But heck, most of you already know all those things.
