Indoor Winterfest Activities Enjoyed Last Weekend
Despite cancellation of a number of family-friendly events, indoor events aimed at catering to more grown-up tastes were enjoyed at My Place in Emporium as part of winter festival scheduling.
The newly-added events planned for Friday night and Sunday afternoon were well-attended for their inaugural year. This is the second year in a row that related sledding and outdoor activities planned at the Emporium Country Club had to be cancelled due to warmer-than-average temperatures.
Friday night, a Beer and Pretzel Gala was held at My Place, and attendance was encouraging, according to Cameron County Chamber Director and event organizer Tina Johns-Solak.
