Labor Day Weekend at Sinnemahoning Park

 

 

Wrap up your summer by attending a nature program at Sinnemahoning State Park.  Park programs on Labor Day weekend include a guest presentation on wild ginseng, a crayfish program for kids, a campground program on turtles, and two days of pontoon boat tours. 

Wild Pennsylvania Ginseng – Saturday, September 1, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. DCNR botanist, Chris Firestone will explain how to identify wild ginseng and where it grows, and provide the current information on harvest seasons, regulations and licensing. Wildlife Center Classroom.

Crazy Crawdads: DiscoverE Program – Saturday, September 1, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Take an up-close look at crayfish and other creek dwellers. For families with children ages 4-12.  Nets and containers provided. Wear water shoes and be prepared to get wet! 40 Maples Day Use Area.
