The Cameron County High School Lady Red Raider varsity basketball team sustained their strong second half of the season by winning two games last week. They topped Galeton and Austin and then took North Tier League co-leader Otto-Eldred down to the wire before coming up short at the CCHS gymnasium.

On Monday the Lady Raiders hosted Galeton and bested the Lady Tigers 52-32.

“The girls played an excellent defensive game in the second half – limiting Galeton to just eight second half points,” said Lady Raider Coach Dave Sullivan.

“Laila Smith defended Galeton’s leading scorer (Mikaya Shadle 17ppg) and held her well to just seven points. Amily Schatz just missed her third double-double in a row with twelve rebounds and nine points. Kamme Guisto also had another excellent floor game.”
