The Cameron County High School Lady Red Raider softball team won its first game in more than two years as they defeated the Smethport Lady Hubbers 6-4 last Thursday. The game, played at the Cameron County Little League Complex, was shortened to six innings by a downpour that rendered the field unplayable in the top of the seventh inning.

Laila Smith was the winning pitcher, yielding three hits, with nine strikeouts, two walks and one hit batsman in six innings of work.
