Lady Raiders Fall at Brockway, Top Austin

The Cameron County High School Lady Red Raider basketball team had a pair of games the week before Christmas and collected their second win of the season.
On Wednesday they were beaten in a non-league game at Brockway but rebounded to defeat Austin in their North Tier League opener in Emporium.
At Brockway, Madison Harrier netted a game-high nineteen points, but it was not enough, as the Lady Rovers prevailed over CCHS, 44-34.
Harrier also collected eleven rebounds and Amily Schatz added eight boards.
“While we showed promise in a number of areas, our unforced turnovers need to be corrected before league play,” said Coach Dave Sullivan.
