Little League Senior Girls Capture Season Opener
After six long weeks of practice and two successful scrimmages against St. Marys, the Cameron County Senior Girls softball team finally played a meaningful game, defeating the Port Allegany Gators 9-3 in the season opener.
With strong winds and chilly temperatures, Laila Smith battled the elements to pick up the mound victory. She fanned 14 batters during her seven innings of work, only allowing two hits and five walks.
