Longtime IncumbentOusted By Voters

Republican Nominations Still A Three-Way Game
In this year’s Municipal Primary Election, 48% of voters turned out at the polls, representing 1,336 of the 2,779 voters registered in Cameron County. For registered Democrats, 44% cast a ballot and 51% for Republicans.
In the race for two nominations for Cameron County Commissioners, three of which will be elected in the November General Election, three candidates still have a chance to appear due to 55 absentee ballots that will not be counted until Friday morning when official tallies will be released.
