Mountain Lines

Having trail-cams out this time of the year not only helps identify the range of bucks hanging around; to an artist it also catches a ton of does in just about any position imaginable providing me with a field day of sketching, trying new and different pens and pencils, papers and techniques.

In this drawing, the left doe is done in the Stabilo art pens which I have grown fond of. They do lack the browns necessary for wildlife art, but a lot of brown shades can be built by combining brown with grays and reds.
