My Favorite Hunt

I had a full hunting season. I got to hunt with friends and family both in state and out of state, while in state, at several places.

My favorite hunt of the season was a short one during one afternoon at home. On that day, I got home from work a hair early and whisked two of my children off to introduce them to the fine art of still hunting. Still hunting is the skill set of hunting on the ground while moving very slowly and stopping often. It is a skill revered in deer hunting circles and one that I thought would take them years to master as it had taken me decades to almost become proficient enough to try to teach it.
