New Congressional Map No Impact On County

A proposal to redraft Pennsylvania congressional district would bring no change to voters in Cameron County.
Under the proposal Cameron County would remain fully within the 5th Congressional District currently served by U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson, a Republican from State College.
The state legislature was tasked with redrawing congressional districts in an order from the state Supreme Court.
The draft is now being considered by Gov. Tom Wolf.
The state court ruled that congressional districts in Pennsylvania “clearly and palpably” violated the state’s constitution.
