New Pet Supply Store Opening In Emporium
A new store will open in Emporium this week offering pet supplies, deliveries, and other items.
‘Paws and Claws Pet Supply’ will open at 12 1/2 East Fourth Street on July 24, offering a variety of pet supplies including food, treats, toys and various pet medications. Owners Emily and John Dubel, of Emporium, plan to offer supplies for cats and dogs primarily, but also for small mammals, reptiles and fish.
“We have heard from a lot of people who have to travel to St. Marys to get pet food, or if they have small animals, travelling all the way to DuBois. We’re hoping to meet many of their needs so they don’t have to drive so far,” said Emily Dubel. “We saw a lack in the community. We keep guinea pigs, and we often had to drive out-of-town to get food and other supplies.”
The couple said they have spent the last few months renovating the store and are excited with the outcome. “We love how it looks, it has made all the hard work worth it. We are really excited to finally open up” John said. According to the couple, most of the work was done inside of the property, with only new signage and repair work on the exterior doors done to the outside of the property- you can visit the Industrial Door Company website to learn more about that process if you are interested. We are excited to see what the store will look like, particularly inside where it sounds like a lot of work has been done. We wonder if they will have Retail Store Display props to display their products. After all, if you display items well they are much more likely to sell.
